Every second Tuesday of the month Petr Bravenec takes part in the event Tkalci na webu. He usually only talks with other programmers from the neighborhood, but occasionally he will prepare a lecture.
His last lecture was about the BeagleBone miniature computer. To make the lecture more interesting, we built a small, remote-controlled town. You can try it here:
http://weblight-demo.hobrasoft.cz
The town is made of paper and carefully stacked in a banana box. Only BeagleBone and the light-control board are real. The rear wall of the houses is made of aluminum sheet to make the LEDs cool enough.
We are using the same lighting control system for years in our office.
You can play with the town as you want. You do not have to worry about breaking something. When you break it, colleagues put it together again.
